CAULFIELD SATURDAY OCTOBER 14. Rail true. Track good 3.
GRAND CHALLENGE 1, Sacred Sword 2, Qafila 3, Coronel 4
All unraced, so good luck.
SPLIT LIP 1, Jorda 2, True Excelsior 3, Je Suis Tycoon 4
Even race, Split Lip finished off well at the Valley and will be closing late.
DESERT LASHES 1, Legless Veuve 2, Miss Gunpowder 3, Cool Passion 4
Alice Springs speedster Desert Lashes is great each-way value. She'll lead for sure, is three from three at 1200m albeit in lesser grade. Cut down late in listed grade resuming, her first defeat in nine starts.
GALLIC CHIEFTAIN 1, Aloft 2, Wall Of Fire 3, Foundry 4
Beware the internationals but of the locals Gallic Chieftain is ready to win third-up. Closed strongly at the Valley, won at his only starts beyond 2000m- 2250m at Morphettville and 2400m at Rosehill.
ATTENTION 1, Religify 2, Lucky Hussler 3, Mubakkir 4
Attention brought himself and the The Answermyfriend undone with suicidal tactics in front in the Sir Rupert Clarke. Jockey change and ridden more judiciously is well placed. Beaten less than a length at the track and trip in the Futurity in February.
ALIZEE 1, Booker 2, Shoals 3, Alioisia 4
Alizee looked awesome destroying the Group 1 Flight Stakes field. If she holds that form can win again.
BONNEVAL 1, Hartnell 2, Galio Chop 3, Jon Snow 54
Bonneval is continuing the theme of dominant mares set by Winx and is on track to follow Jameka as a four year-old Caulfied Cup winning mare. She's won her past six, and is unbeaten in three Group 1 starts. The only danger is Hartnell who may settle closer this time.
CATCHY 1, Kementari 2, Levendi 3, Royal Symphony 4
Working on the basis none of the colts are outstanding, leaning to the best filly Catchy. She loves Caulfield, the unknown is the 1600m. Kementari and Levendi look sure to run the trip and will be suited by a promised fast pace. Royal Symphony ran on well in the Prelude but he hung on the turn and has had a long first preparation.
THEANSWERMYFRIEND 1, Egg Tart 2, Tom Melbourne 3, Kaspersky 4
If Theanswermyfriend gets some peace in front this time he can bounce back. If it's a fast run race and he wilts the classy Egg Tart will be the best of the closers.
SUPER CASH 1, Sheidel 2, First Among Equals 2, Illustrious Lad 4
Super Cash is unbeaten in two runs at the track and trip and won the Rubiton fresh in February. She coasted home to a Sandown trial win on September 7. Sheidel is an Oakleigh Plate winner at the track and trip and will take catching. If they go too hard noted first-uppers First Among Equals from the west and Illustrious Lad can contend.
BEST BETS: Desert Lashes, Attention . VALUE BET: The Answermyfriend.
