Prahran Football Club, Mon Oct 18, 2021 3:35PM

BRETT DICKINSON, 2017 Prahran Assumption premiership player and a multiple Ballarat League premiership player is the Two Blues new coach for season 2022.

An assistant Prahran Assumption playing coach in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and club best and fairest in 2019, Dickinson has one of the most impressive playing CVs in Victorian country football.

An outstanding ruckman-forward he was a triple premiership player with Redan in the Ballarat League and twice a Ballarat League representative.

Dickinson was lured to the Two Blues by previous coach Ashley Mills when they were teacher colleagues at Penola Catholic College.

Dickinson is now a physical education teacher at the prestigious Xavier College.

Injuries prevented Dickinson from playing this season but he intends to play some games as coach in 2022.

His coaching presentation was most impressive and gave an insight into the time and attention to detail he will bring to the role.

The Two Blues 2020 coach Matthew Boland has stood down because of work committments.

The composition of the new coaching panel will be announced at a later date.
