PFC  Community Sports Program (CSP) 2019

The Prahran Football Club CPS this year enters its 20th year of providing skills to schools throughout the City Of Stonnington. The skills provided range from AFL to netball and general ball sports depending on the ages of the children participating.

The schools engaged are listed below.

* Our Lady Of Lourdes

* South Yarra Primary

* St Josephs Primary

* Christchurch Grammar School

* Toorak Primary

* Windsor Primary

* Armadale Primary

* Malvern Central

* Currajong Special School

* Horace Petty Housing Commission Estate

Depending on the school timetable each school received between one or two visits. Each session generally would run for 30 mins; with each class having between 15 to 25 students participating. Overall the program would run from 3hrs to a full day at each school.

Also the Horace Petty Housing commission estate and Currajong Special Needs school wil also be involved in the program.

PFC general manager Steve Zayler will conduct the clinics until April when he leaves on a six months stint as a cricket playing coach in England.

In his stead James Gray and Nic McNamara will operate the clinics.

The CSP evolved in 2000 under the management of Derek Hine, a former club coach and now National Recruiting Manager at AFL powerhouse club Collingwood. The most recent CSP manager Dale Tapping is now senior assistant coach at Brisbane Lions.
