RISK MANAGEMENT POLICY 2017

 

 

GOVERNANCE

  • Ensure club is operating within the boundaries set by the constitution and by-laws as updated December 2014.
  • Ensure that the senior and junior committees and board have a cross representation of business skills.
  • Develop and implement club Business Plan (reviewed every five years)
  • Develop, maintain and ensure all members adhere to the Code Of Conduct (as stated on club website www.prahranfootball.org.au) 

 

 

ADMINISTRATION and POLICIES

  • To comply with the mandatory requirement of Public Liability Cover through the VAFA competition ($20m cover 2016) and South Metro Junior Football League
  • Ensure club records are stored at club office 1st floor, 330 Chapel St, Prahran and/ or on club website.
  • Understand and adhere to all policies implemented by Football Victoria,  VAFA and South Metro JFL.
  • Understand and adhere to all policies implemented by the Good Sports Program (PFC is a Level 2 club)
  • Understand and adhere to all policies provided in the Toorak Park lease by Stonnington City Council

 

 

GROUND (TOORAK PARK)

  • To comply with the mandatory VAFA and South Metro JFL pre match ground inspection check list.
  • Adhere to policies re use of Toorak Park digital scoreboard
  • Adhere to requirements re Toorak Park lease from Stonnington City Council (eg ground signage)

 

TOORAK PARK PREMISES

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility , report any damage or defects in a timely manner
  • Adhere to requirements re Toorak Park lease from Stonnington City Council (re regular cleaning of rooms etc)

 

 

 

 

 

INJURY

  • Employ suitably qualified medical staff for pre-season and season proper. 
  • Medical staff recommendations/advice is to be accepted by coaching staff. 
  • Record and report any serious injuries to the competitions’ insurance company within 30 days
  • Ensure all players, men and women, are aware of their entitlements under group medical insurance coverage and their obligation to also take out private health insurance to ensure the best possible cover in the event of injury.
  • Medical staff recommendations/advice is to be accepted by coaching staff. 

 

 

PERSONNEL

  • Ensure there are Position Descriptions available for all senior and junior club committee positions and any other club positions where required.
  • Ensure Position Descriptions clearly define responsibilities and have appropriate documentation when working with children under 18 years of age.
  • Ensure suitable training is available for positions as required.

 

FINANCE

  • Ensure the club provides a financial statement to Consumer Affairs Victoria at the end of the financial year (now September 30)
  • Further to provide a financial statement to the VAFA
  • Further to provide a financial statement to the Stonnington Council each year as part of the club’s winter grounds application
  • Ensure there is a “checks & balance” program in place where more than one person has complete oversight of club finances.
  • All cheques to be signed by at least two signatories.
