2009 Best & Fairest
In a
thrilling count at Powerhouse Function Centre, Josh Chapman has fallen one vote
short of a three-way tie in Prahran Football Club’s Best and Fairest award.
Daniel Falcone and Damien Stewart polled 110 votes each to each receive a Basil
Cleary Medal, with Chapman on 109. Three time winner, Adam Sleight was fourth.
Sleight also received the award for Players’ Player.
James Musster has been declared Prahrantonians’ Rising Star as the best young
player.
In the Under 19s Tim Maya has recorded a massive win to secure his second Brady
Scanlan medal, with Ollie Hagen coming runner-up.
Nathan Gill won the Reserves’ Award ahead of Hus Pitts, who also picked up the
Reserves Players’ Player award, while Jason Storer added the PFC award to his
VAFA Club XVIII trophy.
Steven Powell has been awarded the Len Reed Memorial Trophy for Best Clubman,
while Russell Lucas received the VAFA Volunteer Medal for his tireless efforts
around the club.
Club stalwart Will Walford was given a special presentation recognizing his
contribution to the club over the last 23 years as a player.
