Team of the Century

At the end of 2001, long-committeeman and former President, Jack Morgans made the suggestion of commemorating Prahran's best players from 116 years of football by selecting a Team of the Century.

As Chairman of Selectors, Jack invited Club Historian & former Secretary Ray Ryan, and former players and coaches Charlie Roach and Ray Harvey to join him in selecting the team. The criteria for qualification was set at 50 senior games for the club or a Best & Fairest award.

In a fitting coincedence, 116 players qualified for the nomination.

Over 500 people joined in the celebrations at the Heath Function Centre, Caulfield Racecourse on 27th July, as the team was announced.
