More Club Milestones

All at Prahran Football club congratulate Aaron Bunnett on playing his 100TH senior game last week against Yarra Valley. Bunny missed out on the opportunity of following his father and brothers in playing junior footy with Prahran due to the juniors being in recess.  However he joined Southbank in 1998 and was part of the reformed Prahran FC that followed. After taking 2-3 years to establish his position he has been a regular senior player since and rejoined the club this season after 2 years overseas. A great clubman and true Prahran Boy. Well done Aaron.

All at Prahran Football club congratulate two players who this week play their 100th senior game.
Leigh ‘Leroy’ Northway joined his brother Glen at Prahran in 2003 and after 3 reserves games established himself as a senior player. In this week he plays his 100th of a possible 106 games.
Leroy’s preparation and determination set the benchmark for all at the club. He is rarely beaten and never gives less than his all. B&F winner in 2006 and Club Captain for the last 3 years, Leroy is a highly respected member of the Two Blues Family.
Like Leroy, Husayn ‘Huss’ Pitts joined his brother’s football club – Southbank in 1997 and has been a part of the furniture ever since. A Life Member of the club and hugely popular character at Prahran, Huss has this year alone brought up his 100th reserve, 200th club and now 100th senior game.
Well done boys. The Two Blues are proud of you both.

Club Milestones

All at Prahran Football club congratulate the following players who recently reached milestones with the club:

Gerard Beven – 50 senior games. Bevo joined Prahran in 2004 as an assistant coach. Unfortunately he missed most of that season with injury and most of the 2006 season while travelling, however proved an invaluable asset in avoiding relegation on his return. Always among our better players, won the B&F in 2005 and a VAFA representative player. Well done Gerard.

Will Walford – 50 reserve games. Wilbur has done so much at Prahran that a 50 game milestone seems strange. A VFA Premiership player for the Two Blues in 1987, Will played 91 senior games in the VFA with Prahran. He played a season at MHSOB before joining Southbank. Providing equity to the backline in 85 VAFA senior games and recently enjoying things up forward in the twos, Will’s great contribution to the club also includes more than a dozen years on the committee. A Life Member and winner of the Len Reed Memorial Best Clubman Award. Congratulations Will.

Nathan Gill – 50 reserve games. Gilly joined Prahran in 2000 under coach Tony Free. A regular senior player in his first two seasons at the club, before injuries and work commitments intervened. A great clubman who always gives his best. Well done Nathan.

Players wanted for 2008!

Prahran Football Club is keen to welcome new players to join the club for the 2008 season.

Players can join teams from under 9’s through to under 17’s.

To qualify for the Under 9’s a player must be a minimum age of seven years as at 31 December 2007. All other age groups are based on the age the player turns this calendar year.
